Wishlist & Price Alerts
Track cards you want to add to your collection. Set target prices and get email alerts automatically when eBay median prices drop to your target.
What Is the Wishlist?
The Wishlist is a separate list from your collection â it holds cards you want to buy but don't own yet. You can record how much you're willing to pay (your target price) and CardVersePro will watch eBay for you and send an email when the price hits your target.
Adding a Card to Your Wishlist
- Navigate to Wishlist in the header
- Click + Add to Wishlist
- Fill in the card details â player, year, sport, manufacturer, set, and parallel
- Optionally set a Target Price (the maximum price you want to pay)
- Enable Price Alerts if you want an email when the price hits your target
- Click Save
Target Price
The target price is the price threshold you set for price alert emails. When the eBay median sold price for that card drops to or below your target price, you'll receive an email notification.
- Set it to the maximum you'd want to pay for the card
- Leave it blank if you just want to track the card without price alerts
- You can update the target price at any time by editing the item
Price Alerts
Price alerts automatically check eBay once per day and send you a batched email for all wishlist items that hit their target price that day.
Enabling an Alert
A target price must be set before alerts can be enabled. Once you have a target price:
- When adding or editing â toggle the Alert me when price hits target switch in the form
- From the wishlist list â click the bell icon (đ/đ) on any item row to toggle alerts instantly
How the Alert Email Works
- Alerts check once daily at 9 AM ET
- If multiple wishlist items hit their target price, they are batched into a single email
- Each alerted item has a 48-hour cooldown â you won't get repeat alerts for the same card every day
- The bell icon shows the last date an alert was sent for that item (hover for tooltip)
Alert Troubleshooting
| Issue | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| No alert received | Price hasn't hit your target yet, or eBay has no recent sold data for this card |
| Alert not repeating | 48-hour cooldown â the same card won't alert again for 2 days |
| Alert sent but price seems wrong | eBay median is from recent completed listings â it may differ from active "Buy It Now" prices |
| Bell is grayed out / disabled | No target price set â add a target price first |
Managing Wishlist Items
- Edit â click the pencil icon or click the item to open the edit form
- Delete â click the trash icon on the item row
- Toggle alert â click the bell icon (đ = alerts on, đ = alerts off)
- Move to collection â once you've purchased a card, add it via Add Card in the header and delete it from the wishlist
