Set Checklists

CardVersePro uses checklist-aware reference data to make manufacturer, set, parallel, and insert entry cleaner and to track base-set completion on the dashboard.

Manufacturer And Set Selection

In add and edit flows, manufacturer and set fields are backed by reference data, but they still allow custom values when your exact card product is missing.

  1. Choose sport and year first.
  2. Select a manufacturer to narrow the set list.
  3. Select a set or type your own value.

Set-Aware Parallels And Inserts

  • The Parallel field now loads checklist-aware options for the selected set.
  • If a parallel has a known print run, selecting it can also fill the numbered field.
  • The Insert field also loads set-aware suggestions.
  • You can still type your own value when the list is incomplete.

Set Completion

The dashboard's Set Completion section uses manufacturer, year, and set data to estimate how far along you are in a base set.

  • Progress is based on the known base checklist size.
  • Base-set progress is separate from inserts and parallels.
  • Clicking a set card jumps into a filtered collection view for that product.

Set Checklist Page

The Set Checklists page (accessible from the navigation) lets you browse any set's full base checklist and see which cards you own.

  • The landing screen shows up to 12 popular recent sets as one-click tiles — click any to instantly load that checklist
  • Or use the four cascading dropdowns (Sport → Year → Manufacturer → Set) to find any set
  • Three tabs: All, Owned, and Needed — filter by what you have or still want
  • Search within the checklist by player name, card number, or team
  • Copy your need list to the clipboard for use in trade forums or group breaks
  • Share link: bookmark or share a direct URL to any set checklist
💡Checklist data is available for most major sets from 2020–2025 across Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Hockey. Topps NFL sets (Chrome, Finest, Inception, Cosmic Chrome, Resurgence) include full parallel tier data.

Manage Sets

Manage Sets is an admin-only tool used to maintain the shared manufacturer/set database and checklist metadata.

  • Admins can reach it from More - Manage Sets.
  • It supports filtering, editing, creating, and merging set records.
  • Non-admin users can still use the checklist-powered selectors without seeing the admin tool.
